Corporal Robert A. Hayden, 20, of Bridgeport was killed in combat in Vietnam May 24, 1968.  He was born June 21, 1947 at Moscow ID, and spent most of his life at Bridgeport.  In 1965 he was graduated from Bridgeport High School.  He attended Wenatchee Valley College, was active in sports and was a drummer in a band.

Earl Henderson, 20, an Army aircraft mechanic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Henderson of Bridgeport, died April 16, 1970 in a plane crash.  He was born in Pasco on November 25, 1949 and he came to Bridgeport with his family in 1955.  He attended school there.  In June of 1968 he entered the Army and attended aircraft mechanic school at Ft. Rucker, AL.  He was a member of a headquarters company aviation battalion in Vietnam.

Larry Butler, son of Oscar & Vida Butler of Bridgeport, died upon a battlefield fighting for what he felt was a just cause, for the benefit of future generations.  Never one to sit idle and let the world pass him by, Larry was active in school & community events from an early age.  He showed excellent ability in leadership and courage, won many awards for his efforts, and was sorely missed by this community when he was taken from us.

PFC John T. Lane, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Lane of Brewster, was killed in combat in Vietnam on May 4, 1968.  He was born in Fullerton, CA on February 26, 1948, and came to Brewster with his family in 1964.  He was graduated from Brewster High School in 1966, and entered the Army September 25, 1967.

Lance Corporal Marvin E. Galbraith, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Galbraith of Brewster, died during combat operations in Vietnam March 27, 1968.  He was killed by an enemy land mine explosion.  Born at Omak on September 27, 1947, he made his home in Brewster.  In 1965 he graduated from Brewster High School.

IN HONOR OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES WHO SERVED IN THE VIETNAM WAR. THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES AND OF THOSE WHO REMAIN MISSING ARE INSCRIBED IN THE ORDER THEY WERE TAKEN FROM US.
