The Family Leadership Institute will have its monthly training tonight, Monday 1/7/19. The topic is Module #4: Storytelling and Journaling: The value a family places on literacy in the enjoyment of reading has a profound effect on the ability of children to acquire the reading skills essential to success. Guest speaker Tamra Jackson will share her experience and wisdom on the topic.
A team of educators from our Middle School will travel to Republic and Wellpinit School Districts this month to learn how they have successfully implemented Summit Learning in their districts.

Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools Grant
The district received a Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools grant, specifically written to add and expand a playground toy structure at Bridgeport Elementary. The existing playground pit will be expanded and a large play toy installed to accommodate K-5 students. The district will receive $140,821.00 to complete the project. A springtime installation is planned.
School Board Training
The Bridgeport School District Board of Directors will host a training session on January 17th, 2019, 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Superintendent's Office. Dr. Gene Sharratt will facilitate the school board training.
