The next regularly scheduled school board meeting is November 25, 2019 at 6:00 pm, Superintendent’s Office.
Enrollment: 774 - This is 36 students below what we set our budget of 810 students.
The school levy is just around the corner. The district will place on the ballot what is called an Enrichment Levy. This levy will replace the current M&O levy that will expire at the end of 2020 which is collecting at $1.74 per thousand assessed value. The new levy will collect at a lower rate of $1.60 per thousand assessed value.
The construction at Bridgeport School District is in full operation. The Middle School has all the HVAC, fire suppression, electrical, plumbing, etc. completed. Sheet rock is near completion along with the installation of windows and door frames. The gym ceiling is currently being installed and plans are underway to install flooring throughout the building. The elementary has been framed up and the infrastructure is being installed. The High School kitchen is currently being remodeled and expanded along with a new music room and two additional classrooms. That building has been framed and is ready for the infrastructure work. The plan is to be finished and ready late this fall or early winter.
