The 5th graders went to a field trip in Winthrop yesterday. They had a great time visiting the North Cascades Smokejumper Base and learned about what it takes to become a smoke jumper and fight wildfires.

The Middle School Hi-Cap program had an exceptional year! Our students engaged with a variety of challenging books, each selecting one to summarize and present to the district and staff through a slideshow or poster. To conclude the successful Hi-Cap year, we embarked on a field trip to Leavenworth. The students enjoyed a tour of a candy-making factory in Cashmere, followed by visits to the Nutcracker Museum and a local bookstore in Leavenworth. It was a memorable day for everyone involved.

The Senior Class of 2025 set up flags and cleaned headstones to prepare the Bridgeport Cemetery for Memorial Day Weekend. Thank you for honoring all who served.

Today we sent off two student athletes, Luis Herrera and Valeria Martinez, to the State Track and Field Championships in Yakima! Luis will be competing in the Shot Put and Valeria in the Pole Vault 🥇. Congratulations to you both and we wish you all the luck! 👏

🌟 FFA State Convention Results! 🌟 Our FFA students rocked the Washington State Convention from May 8-12th! 🎉 Competing in various events like Public Speaking, Veterinary Science, and more, they showcased their skills and dedication. Special shoutout to Gabriela Salazar for placing 6th overall in the state in Spanish Creed Speaking and our MS Food Products and Processing team for snagging 7th place overall in the state! 🏆 This team consisted of Grishma Mahatara, Ryder Aguilar, Miah Bucio, Marco Heredia, and Sophia Hernandez. Grishma Mahatara placed 9th with her individual score out of roughly 94 other students. These students got to walk across stage in front of roughly 2,000 people to accept their plaques. Let's celebrate their hard work! 🎉 #FFA #StateConvention #ProudOfOurStudents 🌟

Superintendent, Mr. Sattler shared his unique hobby with the 3rd-grade classrooms today! 🐝 Not only is he a top-notch Superintendent, but he's also been a beekeeper for nearly a decade! 🍯 Today, he dove into the amazing world of bees, chatting about their life cycle, the queen bee, bee houses, honey production, and how he harvests it when it's ready. The kids were bursting with questions! 😃 To top it all off, they got to make toast with honey straight from Mr. Sattler's bees! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise, Mr. Sattler! #BeeKeeper
